Linda Quiroz, developer of the music and instructional material produced at Q4, has 30 years of experience in education. During much of her career she has taught bilingual students in grades K-6. She's taught ESL in public schools and at the college level, high school Spanish, graduate and undergraduate courses in bilingual, multicultural and educational fields. She served as secondary ESL Coordinator, Primary Instruction Coordinator, and as Curriculum Director for PreK-12. Mrs. Quiroz has extensive experience in the area of assessments at the campus, district and state levels. Before becoming a freelance consultant, she returned to the classroom as a 3rd grade bilingual teacher to 'regain field perspective' that will likely result in effective staff developmet for your district. Ms. Quiroz has composed more than 200 songs for classroom instruction. Her creative contributions are inspired greatly by the students she has taught, and lately, by her grandchildren, Brayden, Adrian and Layla. Johnny Saldivar is an accomplished musician/guitarist, as well as, an educator. He is a native of Big Spring, Texas, and currently teaches at an elementary school in Odessa, Texas. Mr. Saldivar directs the Mariachi Aguila at The University of Texas Permian Basin. He enjoys teaching his own son, Jason, how to play guitar too. Mr. Saldivar handles recording, mix-downs, guitar, bass, guitarron, and arrangements for most of Linda Quiroz's songs. Johnny is in charge of EVERYTHING MUSIC! |
